Due to the apartments management we were double booked for the first night - an occurance, we gather from the apartments we were put in for the first night, which is not uncommon. The apartments are fine though - a nice quiet area (except for the bells from the Cathedral)

Top Tip

Lots of walking - restaurants are generally good - look away from La Rambla which are dearer. Walk the walls - worth seeing. Shopping is good. Figuera - Dali museum is good.

Nice spacious, bright appartment in the middle of the old town and staff were brilliant.

Top Tip

Hire bikes and cycle the green lanes - and if there in the summer use the municipal pool in the park to cool down.

We were really impressed with the apartment. It was really spacious, clean and well decorated. I would definitely recommend it.

Top Tip

The apartment is located in the old town and there are lots of lovely little tapas bars set back from the river. The other side of the river is not as nice, although there is a nice square (place indepenant?) that is full of bars and restaurants. The public transport is great for getting to the costa brava - we got a bus for 4E. When coming from the airport, get a bus to Girona (2E, run every hour) and then a taxi from the station.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.Loved being in the old part of town. Right beside the city wall.

Area probably not suitable for people who have difficulty with walking up/down hills or steps.

Ideal location for easy access to old town, restaurants and within easy walking distance of the main rail/bus station.

Top Tip

Get a map in order to find the place. The local shopkeepers were great in helping me locate the place but did not know the address despite it being centrally located.

Family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed for one night before getting flight back to Ireland. Lovely apartment in a quiet area. Biggest issue was getting access. The way it seems to work is that they send you an email the day before you stay with a code for a box from which you retrieve the key - there is no reception as such. We had not been advised of this in advance so didn't know to check email and had already been on holidays for a week. They did have an emergency contact who retrieved the code after about half an hour. A bit scary for a while though. Hotel is a bit difficult to find particularly if you are on foot.

Top Tip

Site could provide a better map. One of the other hotel sites had a better map which I used to locate the hotel.

Fantastic place right next to the city wall Lots of steps up to the hotel there is a street lift for the less fit
